About Wimberly

After working for twenty years as a software engineer at Lucent Technologies, I trained to be a scopist.  Computer expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to meet high-pressure deadlines were prerequisites for that job and are part of a work ethic I bring to my new career as a scopist.

Education:
  • Stenotech Career Institute, Fairfield, NJ - Court Reporter Scoping Diploma
  • Fairleigh Dickinson University - Master of Computer Science (3.9 GPA)
  • Manhattan School of Music - Master of Music
  • University of Alabama - Bachelor of Music

My Goals
  • To provide the best customer service possible
  • To make each client feel like the only client
  • Fast turnaround and accuracy above all

Miscellany:

In my first career, I was a professional musician.  During that time, I held the following positions:

  • cellist in the American Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Leopold Stokowski

  • member of the music faculty at Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick, Canada

  • Artist-in-Residence at Concord College in Athens, West Virginia.
